About
Private safaris, written one at a time
ZireSafari plans private safaris across Tanzania and East Africa. We work on fewer journeys than a large operator and write each one from scratch.
How we work
We plan across both Tanzanian circuits: the northern parks, which are close together and easy to combine, and the southern ones, which are quieter and usually reached by light aircraft. Knowing how a route actually runs on the ground is what keeps an itinerary honest.
Nothing we sell is a fixed departure. You write to us with dates and a rough idea; a planner drafts a route around the season, sends camps we can genuinely recommend, and adjusts until the pace and the cost read right. The same person stays with you while you travel.
We do not publish a price list, because the same eight days can differ substantially between February and August, and between camps at similar standards. We would rather quote something real.

What we hold to
Four working principles rather than a mission statement. They shape most of the decisions we make on your behalf.
- Local first
- Routes are planned in East Africa, around the parks and seasons they cover, rather than written from a departure calendar.
- Fewer, longer stays
- We would rather you spend three nights in one region than one night in three. It is better travel, and it is lighter on the places we visit.
- Camps we have slept in
- We suggest camps we know well, and we say plainly when one is not the right fit for how you travel.
- Honest about limits
- Wildlife is not scheduled and crossings are not guaranteed. We will tell you what is likely, not what sells.
