How we decide the shape

Before we suggest camps or parks, we ask four things. The answers usually settle pace, region and budget in one conversation.

What do you want the days to feel like?: Long unhurried mornings, or as much ground covered as the light allows. This decides pace before it decides route.
When can you travel?: Dates set the season, and the season sets where in the Serengeti you should sleep. Flexible weeks are worth telling us about.
Who is coming?: Ages, mobility, first safari or fifth. Family routes and photographic routes look very different on paper.
What is the budget you are working to?: Camps vary widely at the same standard. Telling us early means we plan a real trip rather than an aspirational one.
